Some aspects of the wedding can either make or mar the entire event...decor being one of them as it sets the mood for both guests and couples as they come into the event venue.
Our Contributor today is the amiable Abigail David Adjah of Eventfairy Ng and she'll be sharing her thoughts on Wedding Decorations, Color scheme, decor elements and special effects.
Choosing a Décor Theme
(Color scheme, décor elements and special effects)
The first thing that you notice at a wedding is the decoration. Attention is usually paid to this aspect to make the hall look beautiful and the whole planning process worth it.
Before choosing a color scheme, you have to decide what you want from your décor, if you will be using your favorite colors or if you'd come up with a theme and stick with it. During certain seasons there are colors that are in vogue and will naturally be the colors chosen by the couple or planner. It is ideal to choose complimentary colors that wouldn't appear boring and monotonous. Colors the decorator can play with to make the ambience beautiful.
To make the decoration appear more attractive, personal, exciting and creative, the planner or couple can come up with a theme that best describes the couples personality or love for each other. This theme can be developed by a creative decorator with props and a color scheme that compliments the theme. However, it is important to note that themed events are always more expensive than basic decoration, so the couple have to be sure that's what they want to do.
Once you've determined the kind of décor you want, make sure you are specific about the details and elements you'd like to adopt.
Special effects like fireworks, confetti blast, bubble effect and low fog make the first dance look more beautiful and romantic in pictures. Balloon drop, spotlights and disco lights are usually adopted to make the after party lit.
Finally, there are new decoration trends that are beautiful when adopted, but it's important to only do what best suits the couple's personality, budget and wants. Don't be pressured to adopt everything on the internet, do you and be proud as long as you're happy.
